Born and bred in East Germany, Heike started her professional career in the UK in 2006 while finishing her first Master thesis in British Cultural Studies from a German university. It was only a few years later when she took on the responsibility to run HR conferences that she ‘smelled blood’ and never looked back. While working full time, she took on a two-year part-time Master in Human Resources Management (CIPD accredited) to help back up that change in her career. In 2011, during her second year at uni, she joined the corporate world by starting as Talent Scout at Adobe and wrote her dissertation on career limitations experienced by women in the corporate world means by which they had overcome them to date. In 2016, Heike seized an opportunity to explore talent development at Adobe and never looked back. Previously office-based, Heike came back from her second maternity leave full-time into the work-from-home environment during the pandemic in April 2020, as a mum-of-two young boys. Heike is looking forward to sharing how Adobe supports its employees during the pandemic.
