Lena Falkenhagen
Freelance Author
Lena Falkenhagen is a German freelance author and narrative designer who swaps between worlds, genres and formats on a regular basis. She writes books, stories, games (both on- and offline) as well as articles for industry magazines. Be it modern literature, fantasy, sf or historical fiction, she feels at home in most genres. (Except horror. Just no stomach for the horror.) Lena’s trademarks are stories and games that take a critical look at our own society. She loves to write for games “that make you feel bad” but resonate deeply about who we are, or where we’re going. In 2017, she was elected one of the 10 most influential female developers of the German games industry by magazine “Gameswirtschaft”.
She’s the chairwoman of Germany’s largest writer’s association, Verband deutscher Schriftstellerinnen und Schriftsteller (VS in ver.di), and an activist for author’s rights.
